Nor is it an infatuated Marilyn-red love. This union is lip-stick stamped with the deepest eggplant-plum because girlfriend (my bad, wife!) wants to show the world how boldly, deeply and singularly her heart beats.
I love this. I was inspired by this. So much, that I pressed on my own dramatic color before heading out for a bowl of pho. In my head I looked same same as my dear bride, however people asked when I started working at Hot Topic. I’ll try again tomorrow.
As the kids say nowadays, this wedding was lit – the colors, the context, the cougar (!), the DRESS and the kind of loco-love that fills the room with electricity. If you could sow all this into the earth, her flowers are what would come out: Juliet garden roses, burgundy scabiosa, white dahlias, white veronica, white spray roses, nagi, seeded eucalyptus. Dang, girl. You do me so proud.
Big shout-out to my favorite moody photographer, Jessica Manns. Thank you so much for generously sharing your images!
Katelyn's words about her DIY experience: "Thanks so much for making the process of arranging my flowers a breeze! I loved them all in the end!"
