What if I ruin it?

You probably won’t. But let’s unpack all the what-ifs—honestly, hilariously, and with zero pressure to commit.

nervous about diy wedding flowers?

As a bride, you’re likely balancing ambition, budgets, and anxiety. You might need the savings DIY brings, but you feel nervous. What if you bungle it and ruin your own wedding?

We get it. Truly.

We’re not here to talk you into DIY. We know it’s not for everyone.

So what are we here for? To walk you through every fear, pain point, and possible flower freakout with total honesty, so you can decide if it’s right for you.

Think of us like a Buzzfeed quiz in 2014. We’ll tell it to you straight, but way more useful than “Which Type of Bread Are You?” (Your results: stunning flowers, zero stress.)

Let’s get into it.

What if I ruin my wedding flowers?

That’s only gonna happen if you leave them in a box for 3 days and totally ignore the flower care steps. But you won’t do that because you’re an angel and we’re here to give you full-on mother-hen guidance.

We’re legit experts, and no one—no one—has poured more into flower education for DIY brides than we have. Our tutorials, timelines, and kits are designed to set you up for success, not sabotage.

That said… you can lead a horse to water. If you’re not willing to put in the work, DIY might not be your best fit. And that’s okay.

What if I run out of time?

This usually only happens if you forget to schedule your helpers or don’t carve out flower time during wedding week.
Flower design takes time! If it didn’t, florists wouldn’t cost so much.

But all of our kits are totally doable. And if your week is looking slammed, opt for our premade bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces to save time (and your sanity).

Will it look cheap?

Hail no. We don’t sell cheap flowers.

We sell florist-grade, farm-direct blooms that are 100% gorgeous and 0% grocery store sadness.

Will I even know what I’m doing?

Absolutely! IF you take the time to learn from us. We have free tutorials galore. We have a DIY Academy that is deeply discounted for our customers for type-A learning style.

We leave no stone unturned in our education. So if your flowers arrive and you have no idea what to do, that’s on you, babe.

Being a florist is a real job. DIYing your flowers is not hard, but it does require a little learning and organizing. You don’t need to be a pro. You just need to be a little diligent (and have your helpers lined up).

I’m not creative or crafty.

Cool, you don’t have to be. CPAs and lawyers have ROCKED their DIY flowers because they followed our tips, got organized, and nailed it.

Let the flowers do most of the heavy lifting.

That said, if working with your hands makes you anxious, go with our Premade Kits or Hybrid Luxe Collections. You’ll still feel involved, but without the pressure.

I don’t want the stress right before my wedding

Totally fair. Wedding week is already a lot, and DIY’ing your flowers isn’t nothing. But here’s the truth: when you’ve done your homework and lined up your helpers (because no, it’s not supposed to be all on you), it can actually be a blast. Bonus: the savings are REAL.

If the thought of DIY fills you with dread, don’t do it. Seriously. Hire a florist instead. We love florists. We are florists.

But if you’re down to get organized, follow the plan, and have fun with your crew? This might be your favorite part of the whole week. Thousands of brides and moms have said exactly that.

Rolling in with a negative attitude, though? Save yourself the stress and hire a florist. No shame, just honesty.

I’m afraid the flowers will die or arrive late.

We are too. Honestly, the worst part of our job is when an unexpected delay hits or a flower shows up looking wrecked.

That’s why we build in a shipping buffer day and only use hardy, shippable blooms (Sorry, dahlias! You didn’t make the cut). If anything arrives late or looking rough, we’ll refund or replace. Just snap a photo and send it to us right away so we can assess and jump into action. We want you to be thrilled. Promise.

Real Talk: You’ll probably lose a few soldiers in transit. It’s just part of working with fresh product. But don’t stress! We already account for about a 5% loss in every recipe. It’s normal florist stuff, and since we are florists, we’ve set you up for success from the start.

Is it hard to do your own wedding flowers?

It is work. Especially the prep and learning part, but the savings are real. Like, 50–75% savings real depending on where you live.

If that sounds like too much - skip it, and hire a florist. They are wonderful!

But if you love flowers, need to stick to a budget, and don’t mind rolling up your sleeves… DIY is an incredible option (and you’ll probably still be bragging about it on your honeymoon).

What if I don’t order enough or I order the wrong stuff?

This is exactly why we don’t just sell boxes of random flowers.

We are KIT QUEENS. This entire site was built by a former wedding planner and AIFD-certified florist who knows exactly what’s needed and what brides usually forget.

Our kits are meticulously mapped out to make sure you get just the right amount of everything. Want to go rogue or mix and match? We’ve got guidance for that too.

Need the big guns? Book a Custom Design session with one of our pro florists. And no, these aren’t fake florists sitting in a call center. These are seasoned pros who hang off ladders every weekend, know how to engineer a smilax-covered brick wall, and will lovingly tell you that doing 28 centerpieces by yourself is... not the vibe.

We’ll only give you the real deal, sweetpea.
