Upon arrival, give all stems a fresh diagonal cut and remove leaves below the waterline.

Hydrate in clean buckets filled with fresh water. Add flower food if available.

Don’t crowd your buckets with too many stems. This helps the blooms to open fully.

Keep flowers in a cool spot away from heat and sun.

The Bad: There’s not much bad about asters. Some leaves may look droopy or shriveled on arrival, so just remove those during processing, and pinch off any expired buds.
