The Lowdown

  • No Risk: If you're nervous about spending $35 bucks on a custom design don't be. You will be speaking to a seasoned, professional florist, not someone with 2 weeks training sitting in a cubicle. However, if you're not happy with your package we will issue a refund. So boom.

  • Phone Consult with Professional Florist: You will have a 45-60 minute phone call with a professional florist to go over all the specifics like desired budget, flowers, vases, arches, large ceremony arrangements, supplies, etc. We'll look at your venue, discuss the space and your vision, and talk through ideas to help you get the most for your money!

  • Pinterest and Venue Swooning: You and your designer will ogle over your Pinterest board and Venue pics together, going over all the best bits!

  • Cart:  We will build a custom cart for you to make checkout easy.

  • Floral Recipes and Vision Board: You will receive a breakdown of your design and a floral recipe specific to your event.
  • 1 Revision: Hey, we all change our mind! We will revise your cart and recipes once. We recommend that you wait closer to purchase before making your final revision.

    • Design Consultations scheduled less than 1 month from the event date do not allow enough time for a revision. In this case, no revisions can be made.
  • Will I Be Talking To A Douche With A Bluetooth?
    • We’d NEVER do you dirty like that! You are paying to speak to the real-deal. Our Custom Design Specialists are full-time professional florists who side-hustle for Flower Moxie. You won’t be talking to Call Center Chad. Our Designers are not in-office staff, nor are they part of Flower Moxie's Customer Service or Orders Team.  

  • I Like All The Things. How Many Changes Can I Make?
    • You can make one revision to your original Custom Design concept. And truly, that’s all you need after chatting with your Designer. You’ll be covering event scope, budget and preferred flowers – and your Designer will create a recipe and cart based on all those details. If you want more than one revision, purchase another Custom Design. It costs less than a Target run, boo.

      • Design Consultations scheduled less than 1 month from the event date do not allow enough time for a revision. In this case, no revisions can be made.

  • So When Should I Make My Final Revision?
    • As your event gets closer and your brain starts producing holy-sh*t-marriage hormones, you might want to tweak some things. Like adding or reducing arrangements. Or dropping a color or flower. We *urge* you to wait until you’re ready to purchase to request your final revision. If you make your revision and then change your mind, you will need to purchase another Custom Design.

  • What Happens If I Totally Change My Mind On My Original Concept, Does That Count As My One Revision?
    • Points for asking, but no. If you 180 your original design, you will need to purchase a new Custom Design. A new conversation has to be had, a new cart has to be built, new recipes need to be written...yeah. 

  • Will My Designer Be My Flower Moxie Go-To Contact?
    • Only for your custom design needs. You’ll want to reach out to our Customer Service or Orders Team for any floral or order-related questions. Our Custom Design Specialists are professional florists who are not in the office on the regular. Email hello@flowermoxie.com if you have any questions!

  • My Designer Jacked Something Up. Does That Count As My Revision?!?
    • CAN WE SEND YOU ICE CREAM? If we miss any of your deliverables, we make it right. Always. Just email your Designer back and they will happily correct the mistake. This does NOT count as your one revision and we hope we’re still friends foreverrrr.

  • So They WON’T Upsell Me? I Have A Tiny Budget. 🥺
    • Heck no! Our Custom Design Specialists are here for YOU. No pushiness, promise. If you request something out of your price range, your Designer will suggest similar options that are less spendy. If your Designer notices that your vision is pushing you outside of your desired budget, they will offer up alternative suggestions, for example:

      • "Instead of 15 large centerpieces, you could do 5-7 large and the rest can be clusters of bud vases and candles....that will keep you in budget!"

      • "If we swapped out Juliet Garden Roses for standard Shimmer Roses that will keep costs down while still giving you the peachy tones!"

      • "If you were to forage some branches the week of your wedding, we could reduce the greenery on your wedding arch cages. That'll save you some cheddar!"

 

 

Here's a typical timeline:

  • Phone Call Consultation Wait:  We are typically booked 1-2 weeks out, currently.

  • Actual Phone Call:  Expect to spend 45 minutes to 1 hour with your floral designer!

  • Custom Design Turnaround: Once you have your consult, you can expect to receive your custom packet and cart within 5-7 business days.

  • Revision Turnaround: Please submit any revision requests at least 30 days before your delivery date. It may take 1-2 weeks for your designer to get back to you with the revision as she may only be in the office once a week.

    • Design Consultations scheduled less than 1 month from the event date do not allow enough time for a revision. In this case, no revisions can be made.

  • Order Should Be Placed:  All orders must be finalized and placed 2 weeks before your delivery date. However, we prefer all orders to be placed 4 weeks before your delivery date.

"How much can I expect to spend on my wedding flowers?" 

This is a great question without a simple answer, however, we're going to help you get there!

First, let us show you what drives costs. Secondly, let us give you some good 'rule-of-thumbs' to help you determine a solid budget BEFORE you hop on your call!

Flower costs fluctuate based on these 3 factors:

  • Amount/Volume of Flowers Needed:  Creating 20 centerpieces will require significantly more flowers than 10 centerpieces.  

  • Flower Types:  Floral arrangements consisting of predominately boujee blooms (garden roses, peonies, ranunculus, anemones) will be more pricey than arrangements with more greenery and filler flowers.

  • Level of Variety: A bouquet with 10-15 different types of flowers will be more expensive than a bouquet with 3 types of blooms.

 

Hacks To Determine Your Budget:

  • Cut Florist Quote by 50-60%:  Have you gotten a quote from a florist yet? This is helpful because you can expect to save around 50-60% DIY-ing your flowers. So let's say you are quoted $3,000 from a florist, your DIY cost should be around $1,200.

  • Compare Our Collections:  While we may not have the perfect package for your event, we probably have one that's pretty dang close. Find a Collection that is closest to what you're wanting and then take a look at the price break-down per item to get an idea of where your final price may land. Estimate a little more if you want fancier blooms, or reduce the price if you want it more simplified.

  • Good Rule of Thumb Average: The range is 'Simpler Designs - Fancy Designs'
    • Bridal: $75-$125
    • Maid: $25-$40
    • Centerpiece with 5-6'' Vase: $28-$45
    • Mason Jar-sized Vase: $10-$15
    • Budvases: $3-$7
    • Ceremony Urns/ Large Pergola Cages - $60-$120
