Meg has been in and around the floral industry for the last decade. She started as a wedding coordinator but quickly realized that wrangling drunk groomsmen was way less fun than making beautiful flowers and made the jump into full time-florist real quick.

A huge advocate for bright color combos, garden style blooms, and whimsical floral moments, she's not here to encourage you to play it safe on your wedding day style––let's go for the wild ideas!

What’s your favorite wedding you’ve designed and why did it stand out?

The bride was a former team member of mine. Her style was incredible -- a fall wedding with mauve-y pinks and golden yellows. The groom wore a dusty rose suit. We went over the top with table top meadows for her reception. It was next-level dreamy.

What is one tool you’d never leave the studio without on wedding day?

Just one?? I mean, snips, obviously. But the sleeper hit is zip ties.

If you could invent a flower that doesn’t exist, what would it look like?

Honestly, right now, I'd settle for some dreamy lavender spray rose varieties that don't break my heart.

Your favorite snack on design days

Peanut butter pretzels!!

Describe your floral design style in 3 words.

Color-forward. Flowy. Light-hearted. (hyphens count as one word, right?)

What’s your best piece of advice for a DIY bride?

Anything you can do in advance before the flowers hit your doorstep -- DO IT. Fill buckets, prep workstations, print recipes, make sure your vases don't have some annoying sticker on every single piece...

What floral trend do you secretly hope sticks around forever?

Cake table meadows!

Wedding day drink of choice:

Pre-ceremony: water! On the drive home: the world's crispiest fountain Dr. Pepper!!

What’s your biggest wedding mistake? Save some lives here.

Not counter-weighting your arch or mantle pieces... weigh it all down. Secure it 3x more than you think you need to.... trust me.

What’s the one thing all brides should do or have the day/morning of their wedding?

Remember this -- as long as you end the day married, it was a successful wedding day! Trust you did the planning and prep and then turn it all over to people you trust so you can enjoy the moment.

What’s your favorite thing about working with DIY brides/couples?

The go-getter-ness of it all! I just love my DIY brides who are ready to dive right in like it's their next crafty hyper-fixation!! A can-do attitude is half the battle!

What color palette will you never get tired of designing with?

Lavender and peach, ugh so good!

What’s one thing you’d go back in time and tell your past self on your wedding day?

Use real flowers. Yeah, that's right, I got married in 2010... pinterest was barely a thing... and I had fake flowers. I had no idea being a career florist was in my future. Someday, I'm gonna re-do the whole thing!

What’s one thing you wish more people knew about florists?

We're not trying to rip you off. I promise. Not only is it an art form, but it's also hard work!! And I'm sure any DIY bride who has successfully designed their own flowers would agree!!

Funniest/most embarrassing moment at a wedding (either yours or something you witnessed)

In my first year... I accidentally stepped on a bride's train as she was walking to her ceremony. I had to stitch it up minutes before go-time. It was totally tiny and she was so gracious, but I was mortified. That one still keeps me up at night...
