Boho Wedding Flowers
HOW TO GET BOHO WEDDING FLOWERS ON A BUDGET
Author: Michela Thompson
Boho weddings are all the rage, but they don't have to all look the same. In fact, boho comes from the word bohemian, which means eclectic, artistic and free spirited. So when it comes to making your boho wedding dreams come true, don't feel pressured to make you event look a certain way or even match your Pinterest board exactly. A boho wedding is all about creating a dreamy romantic vibe, where the focus is the love and the community present. We created our Boho Package with the DIY bride in mind, but if this isn't in your color scheme, check out our custom design consultation. One of our custom designers will work with you to custom tailor your florals to your vision.
The Flowers
After that I would grab some peach lisianthus. These are awesome because they bring in three essential elements of texture, height, and greenery. It's great for boho arrangements because it is the embodiment of organic. I chose peach for this because it goes with our color palette so far, but lisianthus comes in all sorts of colors so it can easily be adjusted to fit your palette.
So something I'm really loving lately are Bronze Football Mums. They are big and bold and really tie in designs. I'd bring these in for an autumn boho wedding as they are only available in that season, but they are very nice if you can get them. If you have allergies, these have a fragrance so be mindful of that.
Lastly I would bring in White Vendela Roses. I like these because they bring in a neutral element while still having great texture and space, and they are fairly priced. Roses are a staple for a reason, so make sure you add a couple bunches to your order.
If I were creating a boho event, my first choice would be the Pink Ice Protea. Now I'll be honest, Protea is heavy and hard to work with, and they can be hard to get due to their tropical nature. But when they perform, they just steal the show. I'm truly obsessed with these flowers, because they are just so cool. They look like something from outer space, and they bring in all the cool vibes for your boho bouquet.
The next thing I'd pull would be Terracotta Fancy Carnation. So these are, as the name suggests, a bit fancy. The color is in high demand so they are a bit pricier, but they are gorgeous and hardy. And for what it's worth, they are cheaper than other stems with the same situation. These guys also bring in some darling texture.
Accessories & Dried Elements
So the biggest part of creating a baller outfit AND a baller boho wedding is accessories. Example A, this triangle arch. When you're pulling together your boho event, think about the things that people will actually be seeing and what will be in pictures. A unique arch will be in most of the photos of the ceremony, and be really cool centerpiece for the event. Alternatively a big, intricate arrangement that is low to the ground will be covered by your wedding party, and are more expensive than a couple of arch arrangements. Not every corner needs to be Pinterest perfect, especially if you're trying to preserve the budget.
So then it's time to think about textile elements. Things like dresses, table cloths, and ribbon in the correct colors can help keep the pallet solid when uncontrollable things happen like cake frosting is off or you get an unexpected flower substitution. While these problems aren't the end of the world, they can be frustrating when you've spent time and money on this. These textural elements are always dependable, so choose carefully!
The next thing that really excites me are dried elements. These have a variety of shapes, textures and are in anyone's price range. Plus, they last forever and bring in those dependable elements like we discussed before. This where everybody's favorite boho standards of pampas grass and palm fans come into play.
Last thing we'd need to do is bring in some greenery. We sell plenty of varieties, but here are a few of my favorites.
First thing I'd go for is baby eucalyptus. This greenery naturally has a dusty film to it, making it perfect for anyone wanting a soft dreamy look. I also have a friend who cuts it up and puts it in her shower for sinuses. Only downside is it gets your hands sticky when you cut it.
I'd also bring in some leatherleaf. They are dependable and hearty, and can be broke up for small arrangements or left in one piece to fill out big ones.
Lastly, I'd pull some Agonis greenery. This goes great with the pallet and really brings in deep moody tones. Plus, it comes in a huge bunch size. However, as it is seasonal it is hard to substitute so keep that in mind.

One such dazzling package is the Autumn and Fall Collection. Fair warning, this is our only package that does have season limits. As the name would suggest it is only available during the fall months.

Now, when I first heard about the neutral trend I'll be honest I didn't really get it. But after seeing so many successful Moxie brides absolutely kill the Canyon Rose Collection pallet, I'm kinda obsessed with it.
This generally isn't the first package I'd bring to the table for a boho bride, but once again it is all about accessories and accents. I really love the brown lisianthus in this package. Amy reflexed the blooms, making these look like something else entirely. By elevating these stems, she also made the design exist on different planes, drawing the eye.
This is a great option for folks who want something that really keeps things simple, thus bringing attention to the bride and groom while still being super cool.
