Terracotta FTW!
Oh how we love Kaitlin's color palette! It's basically impossible to do anything other than SWOON over these stunning flowers!
Kaitlin chose Flower Moxie's Terracotta DIY package and expertly assembled her peach ranunculus, brown lisianthus, Golden Mustard roses, Italian ruscus, and terracotta carnations into such STUNNING bouquet and arrangements, we can hardly contain ourselves!
Let's hear about the whole DIY process, her big day, and all the things straight from Kaitlin!
(Note: The Terracotta package got an update after Kaitlin's wedding. If you notice that the flowers in her photos aren't exactly the same as the current package on our site, that's why!)
What was your Favorite Thing about DIY?
Bonding with my mom and sister and making each bouquet and piece unique and exactly how I wanted it. It made me feel so proud and sentimental.
Why did you Choose to DIY your Flowers?
Cost. It was insane to me to waste / spend so much money having a florist do our bouquets and I love DIY stuff so it made me happy to save tons of money and still get amazing perfect quality. Everyone loved the floral and we got so many compliments.

Who did you have help from?
My mom and sister.
Where did you get married and why did you choose this location?
Crested Butte, Co. My husband and I spend all our free time in the mountains and Crested Butte is our home away from home. It was nice to have a destination wedding feel since we live in Denver and having a 4.5 hour drive made sure all the guests actually wanted to be there and put a huge effort in to be there with us.
Was it a destination wedding?
Yes.
What was your favorite part of the wedding day?
Floral ;) & dancing & seeing my husband at the altar for the first time

In hindsight is there anything you would have done differently?
None!
Tips for future DIYers?
Get more buckets than you need. We got plenty of large, medium and a ton of little mason jars that we used for the more fragile ones. Go with the flow when making the bouquets. We just threw some in that looked good and went with it. Don’t be too type A about it.
Were there any funny or strange mishaps you can share?
We had tons of extra and had floral all over the entire weekend, even decorated the bathrooms lol
What was the hardest part of DIY?
Not much, maybe transporting them 5 hours in the car to the mountains!
How did you add personalized touches to your day?
Earrings from Grandma
Pamphlets of loved ones no longer with us
Which part of your wedding are you most proud of?
The floral! And the table settings. All of it was DIY. Even the vintage mirrors I painted gold, the vintage vases, pitchers, rugs. My mom and I made lots of thrift store runs and made it so special.
Anything else you would like to add?
CHOOSE MOXIE. The floral was insanely good quality and I highly recommend it to everyone. It was so fun and easy to throw together the bouquets and make them how you want them!
