The Good: Size, size, size! Hydrangeas take up so much space and a must-have for large arrangements. They also have a long vase life and can be pretty hardy.
The Bad: The water factor and they do not like extreme heat. Hydrangeas need a solid water source, so although they are often used in bouquets they will need to be place back into water when they are not being held. They are often used in foam work, but wet foam doesn't supply enough hydration for long periods of time therefore it's best to place the hydrangeas in the foam the day-of the event and use Alum.
