GENERAL INFO

Some companies offer free Custom Designs, why don't you?

Would you ever let a free CPA do your taxes, trust a free hairstylist to dye your hair, or find any real value in a service that’s given away for free? Probably not.

Here’s the deal: you’re speaking with a professional florist who has years of experience. This expertise simply cannot be taught in a quick training seminar.

We hire real life wedding florists who freelance, so trust your entire fee is going right to your beloved designer.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend that you schedule your consult 6+ months before your event. This will give you and your designer plenty of time to nail your vision and make any necessary changes along the way.

Due to high demand, our calendars are typically booked 2-3 weeks out for a Custom Design consultation appointment. Therefore, we ask that you schedule your appointment no less than 1 month before your event date (if the 6+ months suggestion doesn't fit your needs) to allow plenty of time to finalize your design.

Will I be talking to a douche with a bluetooth headset?

We’d NEVER do you dirty like that! You are paying to speak to the real-deal. Our Custom Design Specialists are full-time professional florists who side-hustle for Flower Moxie. You won’t be talking to Call Center Chad. Our Designers are not in-office staff, nor are they part of Flower Moxie's Customer Service or Orders Team.

What if my wedding is on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday?

We offer floral delivery Tuesday - Thursday which serves Friday - Sunday weddings. If you wedding falls Monday - Thursday, we may not be able to provide flowers; reach out to us with questions.

Regardless of the day, we can still offer a killer design consultation and custom for you!

So they WON'T upsell me? I have a tiny budget 🥺

Heck no! Our Custom Design specialists are here for YOU. No pushiness, promise. If you request something out of your price range, your Designer will suggest similar options that are less spendy. If your Designer notices that your vision is pushing you outside of your desired budget, they will offer up alternative suggestions, for example:

  • "Instead of 15 large centerpieces, you could do 5-7 large and the rest can be clusters of bud vases and candles....that will keep you in budget!"
  • "If we swapped out Juliet Garden Roses for standard Shimmer Roses that will keep costs down while still giving you the peachy tones!"
  • "If you were to forage some branches the week of your wedding, we could reduce the greenery on your wedding arch cages. That'll save you some cheddar!"

Will my designer be my go-to contact for all my questions?

Only for your custom design needs. You’ll want to reach out to our Customer Service or Orders Team for any floral or order-related questions.

REVISIONS

What if I want a revision?

Hey everyone changes their mind! We are happy to make revisions to your design. Each revision will run $30 for the basic plan.

The Helping Hand includes one free revision request. The Full Monty includes 2 free revision requests. Each additional revision request is $30. The Basic Design does not include free revisions; each request is $30.

I like all the things. How many changes can I make? 

Most clients do not need a revision. During your consultation, you’ll be covering event scope, budget and preferred flowers – and your Designer will create a recipe and cart based on all those details.

Note: Design Consultations scheduled less than 1 month from the event date do not allow enough time for a revision. In this case, no revisions can be made.

  • For the Basic Plan: each revision is $30
  • For the Helping Hang: one free revision is included. Additional revision requests are $30
  • The Full Monty: 2 free revision requests. Additional revisions are $30

What happens if I totally change my mind on my original concept? Does that count as my one revision?

Points for asking, but no. If you 180 your original design, you will need to purchase a new custom design. A new design phone call has to be had, a new cart has to be built, new recipes need to be written... yeah.

My designer jacked something up. Does that count as my revision?

CAN WE SEND YOU ICE CREAM? If we miss any of your deliverables, we make it right. Always. Just email your Designer back and they will happily correct the mistake.

When should I make my final revision?

As your event gets closer and your brain starts producing OMG-marriage hormones, you might want to tweak some things, like adding or reducing arrangements or dropping a color or flower. We *urge* you to wait until you’re ready to purchase your flowers to request your final revision. If you make your revision and then change your mind, you will need to purchase another revision.

Why do you charge for revisions?

Simple, the time it takes to reverse-engineer recipes and carts.  

Imagine building out meals and recipes for Thanksgiving dinner and then getting the memo "So we are down two children, but need to add on three teenage boys who eat like truckers. Also, we need to revise the Green Bean Casserole recipe because someone is allergic to Cream of Mushrooms. And I want to add on a few more dishes!" While this is all figureoutable, it can take more time than starting over from scratch for a designer so they need to be compensated for their time, effort, attention to detail, and expertise.  

 

ORDERING, RESCHEDULING, CANCELATIONS

After my custom consult is complete, when should I place my flower order?

All orders must be finalized and placed no later than 14 days before your delivery date. We prefer orders to be placed at least 30 days before the delivery date.

Last-minute orders increase the likelihood of substitutions, as there is scarcity in the flower industry since the pandemic.

What if I need to reschedule my Custom Design?

Out of respect for our designers and other customers waiting to book a spot, we ask that all cancellations/appointment changes be made no less than 24 hours in advance. Appointments may be rescheduled/canceled through a link you'll receive after your consultation is booked.

Child care is often required for our designers to accommodate your scheduled appointment, therefore, last-minute cancellations may be subject to losing your Call Consultation Fee.

Please do your best to communicate any changes ahead of time so our designers can plan accordingly.

Can I cancel my Custom Design and get a refund, I've decided to go another direction?

We understand, no problem! We will gladly refund your fee if it's not within 24 hours of your scheduled call.

I loved picking out the flowers I wanted and getting to customize the look! I was also focused on saving money that we could spend on other things.

Flower Moxie was amazing from start to finish! 10/10 would recommend!
