FLOWER MOXIE'S RESPONSE TO COVID-19: Flower Availability and Wedding Postponements
fresh wheat flower for weddings

Sold out

DIY Brides love fresh wheat when trying to work in more natural elements. It's extremely hard and fun to work with in small amounts.

  • Stem Count: Growers bunch, but average 18-20 stems
  • Color:  Tan and slightly greenish
  • Season:  All Year, color may vary throughout the year
  • Flower Design Type: Texture.
  • Pros/Cons
  • Flower Care

The Good: Y'all the owner is from Oklahoma, need we say more? But seriously, we love putting a sprig of wheat into a bout accompanied with a Billy Ball. We get so into it and start wailing "AND THE WAIVING WHEAT, IT SURE SMELLS SWEET WITH THE WIND COMES RIGHT BEHIND THE RAIIIIINNNNN". Sorry.

The Bad: Not much, it's hardy. The tall whisps can be too tall, but easy to trim with scissors.

  • Give the stems a fresh cut, and place in cool water.

Fresh Wheat is considered a 'Texture' element. Based on our design suggestions here's our recommended quantities:

  • Bridal Bouquet: 5-8 stems
  • Maids:  3-5 stems
  • Bouts:  1-2 stems
  • Corsages: 1-3 stems
  • Centerpieces: 3-6 stems
  • Large Arrangements: 1-2 bunches

Flower Moxie reserves the right to make changes or substitutions. All substitutions are only done as a last resort, and only when the reasons for doing so are reasonable and genuine. For example, if a flower becomes unavailable (off-crop), incorrect color, or not in good condition to grace a wedding function we will substitute a flower that has a similar color and price-point.

Acceptable Subs:  Larkspur
