Falling in Mutual Like

Remember in grade school when you really, really dug someone and would give them your Fruit Rollups and let them copy off your Mitosis test just so you could be near them?

But then she inevitably told your crush you made out with a hot dog so – that was that?
It’s so good to be 34, you guys. And to run a business that introduces me to other business owners who reciprocate my painfully earnest admiration, like Sweet Grass Weddings.

Anna and Justin Holladay plan bespoke weddings for couples in Atlanta who don’t have inexplicable House Hunters budgets. They became wedding planners after rocking their own tiny wedding – and realizing very quickly that there aren’t many affordable yet beautiful representations of marriage.

“Surprise! We loved the process so much that we decided to extend our services for other couples looking for affordable but beautiful and quirky ceremonies…Our goal at Sweet Grass is to create a fun and stress-free way to start your new life together.”

I’ve done close to 1,000 weddings myself. The reason I started Flower Moxie was to give couples another choice for knockout blooms at a fraction of the price.

So when Anna picked up the phone to order flowers from us, then called again and snort-laughed about my bra malfunction, then eventually requested an exclusive botanical partnership (!!!), I DID MAKE OUT WITH A HOT DOG.

Their mantra is that “the real party is your life together.” And I can’t get behind that more.

This is all the good stuff, sweet peas, that your younger, head-geared self longed for. Grab on tight and never let go.

(That sounds creepy.)
